GoldenGate Int'l College

   

GoldenGate International College was established in 2007 by a group of eminent academicians with national and international experience.
In the last twelve years, the college has grown from strength to strength and has made its mark as one of the best educational institutions in Nepal as far as excellence in education is concerned.
The college has been introducing new courses and programs every year. Presently the college offers 7 Masters and 16 Bachelors programs affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Nepal. The college also offers +2 courses affiliated under the Ministry of Education, Nepal. 
The college is associated with Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) and Cosmos College of Management of Technology. 
The college is planning to introduce a new courses in the near future. We are developing programs for a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Information Management (BIM), Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), MSc in Chemistry, MA in Peace, Conflict and Development as well as an MA in Social Work.
The college is waiting for the final approval from the Ministry of Education to begin BBA, BHM and MBA programs affiliated to NILAI University, Malasia and Oxford Brookfield University, UK. We are also in the pipeline to run various programs and dual certification course in association with Chaoyang University, Taiwan.

The success of our students in various programs has encouraged us to keep on upgrading our college.  We expect our students to meet global challenges and become successful in whatever profession they choose.
We hope we will be able to reach our goal by our determination, zeal, confidence and hard work.

Mission and Vision and Goals 
The mission of GGIC is to work towards establishing it as a reputed institution in terms of its excellence in quality by imparting international standard education to the students. It is with this noble objective,that a team of senior faculty members with national and international standing in their respective fields, along with successful managers and entrepreneurs have joined hands and initiated this endeavour.
The vision of GGIC is to create and develop a centre with all its excellence for knowledge, skills and applications of established and emerging areas of Science, Management and Humanities to address the dynamism of changing world and related sectors.
The goals of the institution are to come up as an academic centre of excellence for higher studies and research on par with the international standard. In addition, it aims at improving the quality of teaching, research and publications following a pragmatic approach to the fields of Natural and Applied Science, Humanities and Social Sciences and Management.

Academic Programs

10+2 Level Science, Management and Humanities Programs
All the 10+2 level programs are NEB affiliated and other programs are TU affiliated. The 10+2 syllabus are periodically revised and well crafted to cater to the needs of students planning to pursue their higher studies in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Humanities, Management in Nepal  and abroad.

Admission and Eligibility in 10+2 programs
An applicant seeking admission to the 10+2 in Science, Management and Humanities courses must appear in an Entrance Examination followed by interview process, Psychological Test and Counselling. An applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for an entrance examination and admission at the GGIC.

Infrastructure/Facilities

Prime Location
GoldenGate Int’l College is located at the heart of Kathmandu Metropolis, Battisputali, Old Baneshwor. It is easily accessible, with transport facilities linking it to the centre of Kathmandu and the outskirts. The serene and peaceful environment of GGIC is inspired by the prime location of the institution. It has wide open spaces, both in front of the building and adjacent to it accompanied by house canteen, recreation and sports complex. i tis about two kilometers west of Tribhuvan International Airport.
Recently, the college purchased around 10 Ropanies of land at Maitidevi - Old Baneshwor height and the construction of a Hi-Tech new building is in the process and will be completed within 2020.

Classroom/Laboratory
The college focuses on small lecture sizes to consolidate individual learning needs and to meet specific help required by the students. Classrooms are well ventilated and comfortable.
The Laboratories are ideally equipped with all necessary instruments and materials required to further strengthen theoretical concepts through practical understanding and application that facilitates better understanding for academic excellence. 

Library Resources
The library is well stocked with all necessary subject textbooks, both for reference as well as for issue in addition to scores of academic as well as professional journals/periodicals.

Computer/IT Facilities
The students will have access to the IT/Computer laboratory for high speed, free internet access as a valuable research and learning tool in the college premises. The computer laboratory includes the latest PCs, on one to one basis.

Hostel Facilities
Seperate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls in the vicinity of the college. Hostel students are provided hygienic food with five regular meals each day. Tutorial classes in major subjects will be provided to the residents of the hostel. 

Transportation Facilities
The College has a well-managed fleet of buses for the pick-up and dropping off of students to and from various hubs of the city. The facility is provided to the students at subsidized rates for hassle free movement to and from the College.

 Cafeteria
The College runs a cafeteria which provides a variety of hygienically prepared food at reasonable and affordable price especially to meet the requirements of a student.

Sports Facilities/Extra-Curricular Activities
A student is considered complete with a well developed all round personality if he/she is adept, not just in academics but also in the field of sports and extracurricular activities. The College has provisions for students to showcase their talents in various games like Basketball, Cricket, Football, Futsal, Martial Arts, Volleyball and other indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton, and Chess. The students are encouraged to participate in intra and inter College tournaments. The annual college sports events will provide every student with the opportunity to participate and excel in their chosen sport. As part of ECA the students are enthusiastically prepared and promoted to take part in various national and international competitions like Debate, Essays, Quiz Contest, Talent Hunt, Beauty Pageant, Exhibitions, Spelling Contest, Robotics, Project Works and Art & Literature etc.

Scholarships Scheme
A wide range of scholarships are provided to academically sound, deserving, marginalized (Dalit, Janajati, Martyr’s Family Members) as well as needy students who meet the criteria prescribed by the college.
Category 1-  based on SEE result.
Category 2-  based on entrance examination result.
Category 3-  Underprivileged/ marginalized/ ethnic/ indigenous/ dalit/ differently abled students as per rule.
Category 4-  Special promoter scholarship, awarded to academically sound and needy students from the community school background.
Category 5- Students with outstanding talents in sports and ECA recognized  at the national and international level.
Category 6- Scholarship as recommended by NEB.

1. The scholarship is only applicable for Grade XI.
2. To continue the scholarship in Grade XII, the students should prove their academic performance according to the college standards.
