The Effective Time Management

-Rupendra Maharjan

The real reason for managing time effectively is to allow you to lead a fulfilling life as far as possible, to enjoy recreation and  to allow you to spend a quality time with your families and colleagues. The issue of good time management, to get the most out of one’s career and life, is important not only to managers and executives but to all of us. What is most important in your life, right now; your family, friends, school, job, hobbies, or other activities? As you look at how you spend your time, ask yourself if this matches your priorities. Use lists to set priorities, plan activities and measure progress. Good time management means defining priorities and scheduling activities. All time management begins with planning. When evaluating you calendar, you also need to consider your goals and priorities.

You Always Have Enough Time If You Use It Wisely
You always have enough time, if you will and use it wisely. Your dilemma goes deeper than having a shortage of time, it’s basically a problem of priorities. Most people leave undone those things that should be done, while they do things that they shouldn’t be doing. Set priorities for your goals. A major part of successful living lies in your ability to put first things first. Most major goals are not achieved because people put second things first. Is the thing you doing getting you closer to your objectives? Anything that is wasted effort represents wasted time. Don’t serve time, make time serve you. Make time your friend not your enemy. Mange your time as you mange your money.

All Great Achievement Requires Time
To achieve success one should accept that progress is made step by step, one step at a time. Every big accomplishment is a series of little accomplishments. A building is built with one brick at a time. Foot ball games are won by winning series of games, one play at a time. Success is always the sum of small efforts done repeatedly, day in and day out. No great thing is created suddenly and no bunch of grapes or an orange miraculously appears. If you want an orange, you must give it time. There must be time for it to blossom, bear fruit, then ripen. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grow slowly, endures. You walk over the highest mountain step by step and one step at a time.

Opportunity Is Around You All The Time
Opportunity is around you all the time, but you have to be ready for it. When your chance comes, you must be prepared to take advantage of it. The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, for time and chance happen to everyone. Take a second look at what appears to be someone’s ‘good luck.’ You will not find luck but will find preparation, planning and success-producing thinking. When you’re prepared for opportunity, your chance for success is sure to come. The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success. The tide of opportunity comes to everyone. Even to you.
